Hi, I’m Chelsea Jackson

UK-Based Online CBT Therapist | BABCP Accredited | Registered Mental Health Nurse

Hello, I'm Chelsea Jackson, a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 13 years' experience working across NHS services and private practice.

I provide secure online therapy for adults and teenagers throughout the UK from my practice on the border of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire.

I understand that life can change unexpectedly. Whether you're struggling with anxiety or low mood, adjusting to a long-term health condition, recovering from trauma, or supporting someone you love through difficult times, it can be hard to know where to turn.

My role is to offer a compassionate, supportive space where we can make sense of what you're experiencing together. Using evidence-based therapy, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and help you move towards a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.

How I Can Help

I support adults and teenagers experiencing:

  • Anxiety – including excessive worry, panic attacks, social anxiety and health anxiety.

  • Depression and low mood – helping you reconnect with what matters and rediscover hope.

  • Emotional dysregulation – learning to understand and manage overwhelming emotions with greater confidence.

  • Trauma and difficult life experiences – working at a pace that feels safe, compassionate and empowering.

  • Life transitions and adjustment – including changes in health, relationships, work, family life or identity.

  • The emotional impact of long-term health conditions – helping you navigate the psychological challenges that often accompany persistent illness, pain, fatigue or Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).

Alongside my private practice, I work within the NHS supporting children and young people living with long-term health conditions. This specialist experience has given me a deep understanding of the emotional impact that physical health challenges can have—not only on the individual, but on the whole family.

I also offer support for parents who are caring for a child experiencing emotional or physical health difficulties, providing a space where you can feel heard, strengthen your confidence, and look after your own wellbeing while caring for someone else.

My Approach

Every person's story is different, so therapy should be too.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), integrating other evidence-based approaches where appropriate, to create a therapy experience that is tailored to your individual needs, goals and circumstances.

Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely listened to, understood and supported. Together, we'll work towards helping you feel more in control, build resilience, and make meaningful, lasting changes that improve your quality of life.

Hold this space therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a dedicated space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a supportive and confidential setting.

Together, we may work on:

  • Reducing anxiety and emotional overwhelm

  • Processing trauma or difficult past experiences

  • Strengthening self-esteem and self-compassion

  • Navigating life transitions and stress

  • Building healthier routines

Sessions are tailored to your needs and goals, with flexibility and care.

Depression

Felling low?

Develop a manageable plan to help shift our mood and find our value. By engaging in values driven activities as well as combating our thinking or processing a difficult time, we can take back control of our depression.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Trauma can affect how we feel, think, and relate to others, often in ways that aren’t immediately obvious.

I offer trauma-informed care that prioritizes:

  • Emotional safety

  • Choice and collaboration

  • Gentle pacing

  • Nervous system awareness

We focus on helping you reconnect with yourself and build a sense of stability and empowerment.

Anxiety & Stress Support

If you feel stuck in worry, tension, or constant “fight or flight,” therapy can help you understand what your anxiety is communicating and develop tools to feel more grounded and in control.

Why choose online therapy with me

  • Qualified and experienced. BABCP accredited CBT therapist and NMC registered mental health nurse with years of NHS and private practice experience.

  • Calm, respectful therapeutic relationship. Non-judgemental, steady support where you can explore at your own pace.

  • Collaborative and practical. We identify unhelpful patterns linking thoughts, feelings and behaviours, develop manageable tools, set clear goals, and work toward sustainable change.

How I work

CBT focuses on the link between thoughts, feelings and behaviours. In sessions we will:

  • Understand what’s maintaining the problem

  • Time to explore and understand yourself more

  • Map patterns and triggers

  • Practice practical, evidence-based strategies you can use daily

  • Set collaborative, realistic goals tailored to your life

I offer a small, carefully held private practice for adults, children and young people on my non NHS working days. If you’re seeking compassionate, therapy in the UK, I provide a calm and supportive space to make meaningful, long-term change.
