WHy CLINICAL SUPERVISION with chelsea?
I offer clinical supervision to practitioners working with children, young people, parents, and adults, including those supporting individuals with physical health difficulties, long-term conditions, and adjustment to illness or change. My approach to supervision is compassionate, reflective, and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on creating a safe and supportive space for thinking together about clinical work.
I understand supervision as a collaborative process that supports both practitioner wellbeing and high-quality, ethical practice. I am particularly interested in helping supervisees recognise their strengths, build confidence in their clinical decision-making, and reflect on what they are already doing well alongside areas of challenge or uncertainty.
My supervision work is informed by an understanding of stress physiology and the nervous system. I am mindful of how working in helping roles can impact practitioners’ own nervous systems, and how stress, responsibility, and organisational pressures can shape clinical practice. Supervision offers space to notice these responses with curiosity and compassion, and to explore ways of supporting regulation, resilience, and sustainability in work.
I draw on an integrative framework, informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed approaches and my background in Mental Health Nursing. I also hold in mind the wider systems surrounding both the practitioner and the client, including Biological-Psychological -social contexts.
I offer clinical supervision online or via telephone.
Integrity, creativity, and empathy shape the way I work. These aren't just words they’re the foundation of everything I do.
I find my own supervision paramount to my job, my practice and my personal and professional development.
